GET READY FOR ROLLERAMA

PORT LINCOLN – GET READY FOR ROLLERAMA!

Now that the 2012 Adelaide Roller Derby season is over, and as they prepare for try outs for new league members, they’re creating another first and bringing flat track roller derby to the Eyre Peninsula!

On Sunday 30th September, The Phantoms (Black/Silver) and Tornadoes (Red/Black) will combine skill, strength and strategy in the edge-of-your-seat sport called roller derby at the Port Lincoln Leisure Centre. Tickets will be available from West Coast Youth and Community Support Service for $5 for students and $10 for adults. Kids under 5 free!

This trip will be the first of it’s kind for the league; not only will an entirely new audience get to watch a roller derby bout live, but the women of the league are collaborating with local organisations to lead a workshop for young women on how to create their own community space in Port Lincoln.

Bring cushions and rugs to sit on the suicide line – standing room will be behind the floor space for rugs and cusions.
