The Wild Hearses were slow to score any points in the first half of the game, which the Salty Dolls made the most of, however they came roaring onto the scoreboard with an early powerjam which drew them to within striking distance of the Salties’ lead, only to see the Salties pull away from them once more. And this is how the hard-fought first half played out: the Salties pulling away but always with the Hearses hot on their heels.
First half score: SD 119, WH 82.
In the second half the Salties’ trademark dominant packwork was at its most devastatingly effective as it shut down the Hearse jammers time and again, hampering their ability to score points. The Hearses fought hard and contained the Salties’ lead but were not able to reel it in. When the final whistle blew the Salties added another bout to their undefeated 2013 season.
