What a huge weekend of roller derby for ADRD! All our home teams played this weekend, but as per usual it was Team Zebra that won the WHOLE thing!
Salty Dolls versus Road Train Rollers
We kicked off Sunday with the Salty Dolls taking on the Road Train Rollers, and when we say taking on, boy do we mean taking on! Both teams fought hard and showed some great defensive strategy; with almost every jam evolving into a power jam, the Salties seized their opportunity to secure a strong lead. Despite the Roadies getting their fair share of power jams in return, in the end, the Road Train Rollers spent a little too much time in the naughty corner and it was a Salty Dolls victory.

Wild Hearses versus Mile Die Club
The second game of the day saw the Wild Hearses fighting hard against the Mile Die Club. It was a heavy hitting game with a lot of powerful offensive play from the Mile Die Club’s blockers, who held the lead for the bulk of the first half. The Wild Hearses took it all on their collective chins and managed to secure a 2 point lead over the Dies by halftime. The Hearses battened down the hatches in the second half and maintained their lead, finally taking home their second win for the season.
